Perfect ARC or PC horse. Joey is ridiculously sweet and people orientated. He’d live in your pocket if he could. He has exceptional ground manners and has done extensive ground work. Super easy to catch (he’ll catch you), clip, farrier, worm etc. He can take an extra 5 minutes to load onto the float but can be bribed with treats. Carrots are his favourite!

He’d look outstanding in a show ring or doing dressage. Amazing, floaty trot. Joey has done basic dressage work/arena work. He’s popped over small jumps as well. He’s very honest (pretty sure he’d walk into a fence post if you asked). He’s not scared of traffic, live stock, kangaroos, bikes, dogs, quads, tractors etc. No separation anxiety.

He’s done off property lessons with and without other horses. He’s done several trail rides solo and with others. Breakers have been led off him. He loves to engage, very intelligent and picks up on things quickly. Joey has also been to pony club, ARC and clinics.

In saying all this, I’d say Joey would suit a teen or adult with an intermediate/experienced rider who has established seat/hand aids. This is because Joey very much feeds off his rider and needs someone with a bit of experience to keep him going. I’ve found that if his rider is nervous or established with leg/hand aids, he doesn’t quite know what to do with himself and rushes a bit. Absolutely no dirt whatsoever, he just turns into a giant question mark. This is the reason for sale (I’ve not ridden in quite a few months and I’m not established or confident enough to do him justice).
