Carnegie Dan – 16 years young 16.3h thoroughbred gelding. Definition of “been there, done that 1* eventer.” A jumping machine rarely finishing outside of top 6 in 1* EA eventing. Numerous wins in Grade 1 Pony Club/HRCAV Level 1 showjumping, and competing at ease in 1.10/A Grade – Dan hates touching a rail and has the ability to zip around a jump off round clean and fast. Although a straight dressage home isn’t what he would prefer, he is schooling and competing leg yield, shoulder in, traver, counter canter, walk to canters and turn on hunches. Beach rides and trails he is a pleasure, walking on the buckle when out on his own or with company. Every mothers dream, no buck/rear or nastys and will adjust to the rider on his back. Fit and ready to go out competing whenever you are. Don’t let his age phase you, hasnt had an unsound day in his life and has plenty of years left running around cross country. Sad decision to to give Dan the opportunity to show his next rider a reason to love eventing and prolong his career doing what he loves, rather than pushing him into 2* ranks. Suit competitive interschool rider wanting to go out and compete next weekend.
