Quiet pony with very forward paces, general riding, basic Education Suit intermediate rider with established walk, trot, canter No known nasty vices. No buck, kick, bite, bolt that we have encountered. Can occasionally pull back when tied Good for farrier, float and saddle up Require bucket feed in big paddock Can paddock alone or with others Loves water, ride bareback Purchased as first big pony for my daughter but now selling as he’s too forward moving for my her riding ability and she doesn’t have the co-ordination for the faster pace, although she is happy to ride him on the lunge, round yard and independently at a walk. Can tense up when ridden, prefers a bit loose rein. A confident rider will get the best out of him, being able to bring him back to their pace, and then ask for a transition, he does listen and can do this however is too much for my daughter still learning to sit the canter. We’ve only ridden in the paddock and taken him to pony club once in the short time we’ve owned him, he was very calm the whole day. No anxiety. Price neg as want him to go to a great home. |
